I am a singer and singing teacher based in Nottinghamshire, UK.  I teach a diverse group of students, from teenage music and drama students through to retired folk who just want to improve their voices and enjoy singing, either alone or in groups.  I have a particular interest in how singing opens up our personalities and helps express our identities.  I also believe that, in its basic form, the sincerest method of singing is to gather in a group, no production crews or recording engineers, and to share in the joy and community of singing.

This blog is somewhere to put down my thoughts about singing and its place in the world, as well as my philosophies of how to improve singing.  You can find out more about me and about my lessons by visiting my website www.colinreed.co.uk
